Houston Homes is seeking to fill an immediate opening for an experienced Residential Architectural Designer.
Our new home services fall into the following areas of expertise:
- Modern Floor Plan Design & Production Build: We offer home buyers a collection of modern floor plans to be built on home sites in any of our new home communities. We offer home designs across multiple price points so that most buyers have the opportunity to own a home that fits their needs within their budget.
- Off-Site Construction of To-Be-Built Floor Plans: We also offer Houston Build Anywhere® – a special invitation to build any of our floor plans off-site on land owned by the buyer. Whether buying in a neighborhood or building on buyer-owned property, Houston Homes does grant buyer requests to make custom changes to any of our floor plans.
- Custom Design and Build: Houston Homes also offers custom design and build services extending virtually unending creative potential. Custom homes are designed in-house by our own team of architectural design professionals. Recent custom projects have been $1M+.
Essential Job Duties:
- Assist Architect by performing design assignments
- Create construction documents from concept to final release.
- Coordinating with other disciplines (Structural, HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
- Create supplemental drawings for custom requests from our Sales Team on behalf of buyer.
- Manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
- Analyze & resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Communicate with different teams within Houston Homes, consultants, and trades to ensure project requirements are met and issues are resolved promptly.
- Work collaboratively with our in-house Architect in conjunction with Purchasing & Estimating and Construction Operations teams.
- Use AutoCAD, Sketchup, V-Ray, Photoshop, Illustrator and/or other similar industry standard programs for architecture design.
- Provide design support for current portfolio of floor plans
- Customize existing floor plans to suit buyer and/or design team requests
- Ensure designs are innovative, cost-effective, practical and in-line with current design standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
- Licensed Architect preferred, but not required.
- 1-3 years of experience in residential design.
- Candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD or other architectural design program.
- Experience with Sketchup, V-Ray, Photoshop, and Illustrator is preferred.
- Be detail-oriented, collaborative, and motivated to expand knowledge of residential construction, building codes, and construction processes.

Here’s your chance: Houston Homes, LLC of Missouri looking for a New Home Sales Assistant. Perfect opportunity for outgoing self-starters to engage with clients, realtors, trade professionals and other guests from 14 to 35 hours per week. You’ll work under the direct supervision of a Community Sales Manager providing sales support.
Responsibilities:
- Quickly build rapport and trust with all potential customers while providing a superior customer experience.
- Gather required information from customers in order to create a customer file.
- Schedule interested customers to meet with Sales Manager, communicating all important information about the customer.
- Prepare sales office and model home(s) at opening
- Welcome guests touring our model and spec home(s)
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Take clear notes and messages for Sales Manager follow up
- Follow up with prospective buyers as requested
- Schedule private appointments
- Maintain CRM database
- Marketing support as requested
- Secure sales office, model home at close of business
Compensation: Starting $20-$25/hour based on experience.
Available Shifts: Flexible, but weekend availability required. Our sales offices are open Thursday-Monday 10 am to 5 pm.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a qualified part-time Staff Accountant to join our expanding team.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice entry, payment processing, and upload of positive pay files to the bank
- Prepare and submit subcontractor payment requests to the disbursing company for processing and payment
- Communicate with appropriate team members to resolve invoicing discrepancies
- Manage compliance documentation including W9s, Subcontractor Agreements, and Certificates of Insurance
- Reconcile and maintain company credit card receipts
- Perform 1099NEC year-end reporting
- Monitor accounts payable email and process accordingly
- Assist with financial statement month end and year end close activity
- Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts monthly
- Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate or Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in a staff accountant role
- Capacity to meet monthly and yearly reporting deadlines
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Houston Homes, LLC of Missouri is looking for an experienced new home Construction Superintendent to join our winning team as we continue to grow. Successful candidates will have exceptional communication skills with a commitment to excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Managerial oversight of homes, planning, scheduling, implementation & coordination of quality-built homes from development through final construction on a timely & economical basis per Houston Homes, LLC standards, while maintaining a low cost variance.
- Building rapport with customers and maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the building process.
- Coordinating and completing homebuyer reviews, meetings and phone calls.
- Motivating, managing and inspecting the quality of work that is performed by subcontractors and holding them accountable for quality work.
- Working closely with the sales team, construction laborers, upper management, as well as all other Houston Homes, LLC team members.
- Track & control construction costs against the budget in order to avoid cost overruns.
- Maintain a professional, clean and organized job site.
- Oversee worker productivity & compliance with building/safety codes.
- Understand contracts, plans, construction methods & regulations.
- Schedule and manage subcontractors and sub-contractor relationships in order to build homes on schedule and close on time.
- Prepare daily, monthly & quarterly reports.
Job Requirements:
- Prior residential production building experience is required, 2+ years of field management preferred.
- Experience scheduling and supervising subcontractors, strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in effectively communicating with and interacting with customers, as well as a sales team.
- Ability to manage, as well as inspect the quality of the jobs performed by subcontractors and hold them accountable to the Houston Homes, LLC quality standards.
- Establish good working relationships with a variety of people, including upper management, designers, sales, trades, vendors & customers.
- Time management skills, decisiveness and flexibility to work well under pressure when faced with unexpected situations, or delays.
- Effective computer skills to handle job costing, payroll & communication with vendors & trades, as well as coworkers.
- Ability to analyze & resolve problems in a timely manner; Persistent follow-through.
- College education preferred.

Construction Laborers are a critical part of the Houston Homes team, and are needed to perform a wide variety of construction-related activities during all phases of construction on job sites. We work across multiple new home communities, custom home building job sites, and in Houston Homes, LLC office locations in St. Charles, Lincoln and/or Warren Counties in Missouri.
Responsibilities:
- Our laborers spend a lot of their time preparing and cleaning up construction sites, using tools such as shovels and brooms. Sometimes, though, your day may include these and other activities:
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards
- Load or unload building materials to be used in construction
- Build or take apart bracing, scaffolding, and temporary structures
- Dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction
- Operate or tend equipment and machines used in construction
- Follow construction plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers
- Assist craftworkers with their duties
Job Requirements:
- This job requires physical labor, both indoors and outdoors, all year.
- As a Construction Laborer, you will work under the direct supervision of the Construction Superintendent, striving to keep our job sites in optimal condition at all times.
- Must take direction well.
- Work efficiently and thoroughly to complete work in a timely manner.
