At Houston Homes, we always say it’s “more than a home.” What we mean by that is we don’t just churn out cookie cutter houses without heart. Houston Homes Gives Back
We are proud to share that our charitable foundation, More Than a Home, has exceeded expectations over the past year. Thanks to our amazing team, Houston Homes homebuyers, and the local Missouri community, More Than a Home was able to donate over $118,814 to Bree’s Gift & Justin Delivers Hope in 2025. This is a true testament to the positive impact that good neighbors can have in our community. Thank you all for making this gift back to the community possible.

More Than a Home Golf Classic
At Houston Homes, we believe that building a community goes far beyond framing houses. It’s about changing the lives of the people who live within them. Through our More Than a Home foundation, we partner with our incredible network of vendors, partners, and supporters to give back to local causes making a profound impact right here in the communities we serve.
Each autumn, we host our annual Charity Golf Tournament, the More Than a Home Golf Classic —our signature event dedicated to turning a great day on the greens into life-changing support for others. Last year, thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our sponsors and players, we raised just over $118,000, which was split equally between Bree’s Gift (supporting local adoption assistance) and Justin Delivers Hope (funding local police K-9 units).
This year, the tradition of giving continues. On Monday, September 21, 2026, we are returning to the beautiful Bogey Hills Country Club in St. Charles, MO, to support two incredible beneficiaries: Bree’s Gift and our newest partner, The 10-78 Project, which provides critical resources and financial aid to law enforcement families navigating the aftermath of a police-involved shooting or work-related trauma.

The 10-78 Project
For every home sold, Houston Homes will donate $250 to The 10-78 Project. These donations will go towards providing immediate care, support and resources to police officers and their families who have been involved in an officer-involved shooting, helping them navigate the emotional and practical challenges that follow such incidents. Houston Homes is proud to partner with this organization for the first time in 2026 and is committed to supporting and improving the communities we serve.
The Mission of The 10-78 Project includes:
- Direct and practical support for police officers (and families) involved in critical incidents on the job
- Trauma response education and resources
- Spiritual guidance & access to spiritual books
- Emergency financial relief
- Food delivery for the family
- Cookies and support materials for LEO families
- Long-term wellness support & therapy
- Personal training & martial arts
- Response care packages
- Family support programs
Bree’s Gift
Bree’s Gift utilizes ongoing fundraising initiatives to provide qualified families seeking domestic and/or international adoptions with funding to secure and complete their adoption – amounts vary dependent on each family and their specific funding needs.
Bree’s Gift sets itself apart as a unique funding organization and resource for families seeking adoption, from supplementing your fundraising efforts to providing full funding. The mission of Bree’s Gift is to bring hope to these families.
At Houston Homes, we know the importance of family.
As a family-owned business, it’s built into everything we do. That’s why we have chosen to donate $250 for every home sold to Bree’s Gift, so they can continue to grow their efforts to support local families looking to adopt.
Our donations go towards:
Providing resources to navigate all facets of the adoption journey: adoption agencies, trauma training, adoption advocacy, and counseling & mental health.
Helping reduce any obstacles standing in the way of providing the love and care for children in need of a home.
Supporting the annual Sunflower Family Festival, which brings together some of Bree’s very favorite things and honors her life with a day of fun, love and joy.
